<p>Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a sleep related breathing disorder characterized by repeated airway obstruction during sleep. When a person with OSA falls asleep, muscles become relax that can cause complete or partial collapse of the upper airway. If left untreated, it is life threatening and can cause serious medical complications.</p>
<p>Gold standard test for OSA is sleep study also called polysomnography. Sleep Study Test can confirm the diagnosis of OSA which involves an overnight stay at a specialized sleep study center at our hospital. Sleep study can be completed at home with a portable sleep monitor might be an option.</p>

You may also be hooked up with several belts around the chest. These devices take measurements of various body function during sleep, such as breathing patterns , movements of your arms and legs , heart rates, respiratory events, snoring sensor and blood oxygen level at the different stages of your sleep.</p>

<p>Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) can help you to relieve OSA symptoms and it’s a gold standard treatment. CPAP Therapy provides continuous airway through a mask you wear and keeps your airway patent and remove breathing pauses caused by OSA. If you got CPAP Therapy in every night of your sleep, you would completely get rid of obstructive sleep apnea symptoms.</p>
<p>CPAP Machines and Masks for CPAP are fully stocked at Grand Hantha’s sleep study center.</p>
